We are grateful to Janis Bates (Sandhill Poodles) for this beautiful, balanced girl, with a lovely gait and sound temperament.
Ella was owner handled in limited showing. She finished her championship quickly as a puppy, with wins over BIS Specials and had multiple BOB and Group placings.
In her very limited Specials career:
- BOV 2006 PCC National Specialty
- 5th Novice PCA National Specialty
- Reserve Grp 6, 2007 Classique Royal Canin
- Multiple group 1st and BOB's
She has helped our daughter, Tatiana, learn the ins and outs of the conformation ring. Along the way, helping her earn two Best Overall Jr wins and the opportunity to compete at three Regional competitions.
Ella and Tatiana are now trying their hand & paw at Agility and Obedience. |  |

**Juvenile Renal Disease (JRD):

There is much debate as to whether this is valid test or if the gene found (and tested for) is the correct one.

At this point we know that all dogs diagnosed with JRD have the gene tested for. However having one or two copies of the gene does not mean a dog will have or produce the disease.

At present this test cannot reliably be used to make breeding decisions. I hope that the information acquired from the dogs already tested will help develop a more accurate test in the future.

JRD does occur in standards, but is not as prevalent as the DNA test results would lead us to believe

JRD is a disease that will appear before 3 years of age, and is always fatal.
